It’s exciting to build these products it’s even more exciting to see what people do with them. Today, I talked about how we’re advancing two fundamental aspects of our mission - knowledge and computing - to create products that are built to help. And once a year - on my favorite day of the year :) - we share an update on how it’s going at Google I/O. The progress we've made is because of our years of investment in advanced technologies, from AI to the technical infrastructure that powers it all. In the decades since, we’ve been developing our technology to deliver on that mission. Meanwhile, Google Workspace will let users generate full documents and fill out spreadsheets using AI.Īdditionally, the company announced Duet AI for Google Cloud, a chatbot that aids developers as well as non-developers who use its cloud-computing services. ![]() The Photos app will add a Magic Editor feature later this year that lets users remove objects from photos and adjust people’s positions. The AI-enhanced service will be available in 15 cities, including San Francisco, later this year. In another example, an immersive view on Maps renders a 3-D overhead view of a bike path. For example, he said, a dissatisfied traveler can type in basic instructions for an email seeking a full refund for a canceled flight, which generative AI then translates into a compelling request. Pichai rattled off ways that Google’s Gmail, Maps, Photos, Workplace and other apps will benefit from AI technology without compromising users’ privacy and security. Bard will be able to respond to queries in English, Japanese and Korean, and Google will expand availability to 40 languages soon. It has also upgraded its Bard AI chatbot with new capabilities and is making it available in more than 180 countries and territories. Google said it has built a new large language model, called PaLM 2, that can generate humanlike text in response to human input. ![]()
